Mages, Rogues, and Enchanters of Norrath!
Posted by adetia on August 4, 2008 at 18:14 EST
Mages, Rogues and Enchanters of Norrath! We are seeking highly skilled applicants with at least 1000 AA and solid gear.

Opportunities to join the mage or enchanter ranks do not come often, so if you are serious about joining a high end guild that raids 6 days a week with a long tradition of excellence, please contact Adetia, Ormus, or Drayron in game or review our Application Forum for more information! We're also seeking a couple other hardcore raiders, particularly clerics and rogues.

Expansion Complete!
Posted by adetia on June 25, 2008 at 17:56 EST
Well we've been on a roll this week, though I suspect its really just a conspiracy to force me into more updates...

Without further adieu, I give you the boss of this expansion, before and after:

And for those of you who are into it, the lore... and the obligatory lockouts!

This expansion has been a weird and twisty path for TR, with a strong start and finish, and a little bit of a scenic tour in the middle somewhere. All in all, I'm very proud of the guild's persistence to finish this thing off, and this last week we've been on a roll reminiscent of many TR sprints in the past. I'm glad to call these folks family, with treasured old faces, special friends, and those new to the fold... and here are their smiling faces, though with some of them we had to take a little creative liberty...

The expansion itself took us on a tour of the early flagging raids with visits to Deepscar, the everlasting and often buggy minotaur, and Big Bynn... on to the realm of Steam Factory. I was disappointed by the early flag raids in Steam Factory, as I felt they were merely a shadow of the raids we saw on beta, and way too easy... but in retrospect I suppose it really doesn't matter.

From Steam Factory it was on to visit the gnomes in Meldrath. With six events, it was enough to keep folks busy for a bit, working up towards flagging for Crystallos. This zone too saw its fair share of bugs, and saw the creation of the famous "elevator music", the numerous problems with Bargangle and of course, the issues with Prototype. One of my favorites is Brinda, because it is fast and furious, and isn't a 3 hour slugfest. Meldrath himself seemed to me like a fabulous idea on paper that in reality just ends up being too long of an event for my taste. Also in this tier, we have Ralkor, (not my favorite), and Soulbleeder, which I feel is a fairly original concept and enjoyable to boot.

From there it was a few weeks of farming flags the regular way most of us did, and then on to Crystallos... otherwise known as the loot pinata of SoF. I've already posted pics of the events there so won't bore you with a second round, but the zone consists of 4 wing minis, 4 wing bosses, Brood Mother and Kerafym.

The most difficult mob in the zone is the air dragon, by far, in my opinion. Its akin to chewing gum, rubbing your stomach, and patting your neighbor's head while riding a unicycle in a circle. From there, its admittedly downhill in difficulty with Broodmother suiting our guild well, and once you start piecing the various parts of Kerafym together, its not much of a challenge. The ending was a bit anticlimactic, and as expected, came with a new title and prefix.

Congratulations to Drayron, Darwath, Cinexa, Runes, Hareldar, and Mongis on their shiny new loots from Kerafym, and also to the guild as a whole for wrapping this expansion up with the passion and drive we are known for.

Congratulations to our friends over in Crimson Tempest for their excellent finish in this expansion, and also to Dark Horizon, Triton, and Raging Fury. Its been a rough road for many many guilds out there this expansion and we've seen a few notable names close up shop. Our hats off to you for your fantastic performances.

I'm privileged and proud of Township and our continued strength after all of these years, and blessed by the friends who have accompanied me on the journey. I'd also like to say a special word of thanks to my officers Drayron and Ormus for all they have done this year. There are many others out there who have brought special talents, friendships and joy to my life and time spent in game, and you all know who you are... and I'm thankful to have you guys at my side.

And the best part is... I don't have to write anymore updates this week.

Over and out,

Ade
<3

P.S. This update was brought to you by the number 14. WTS Kill.

And then there was one...

Since I'm on an updating roll.... Broodmother fell last night to TR, leaving us with just one mob left to complete the expansion.

Vyskudra has Fallen to the Ground!
Posted by adetia on June 17, 2008 at 09:41 EST
We've been pretty busy with the new expansion, and, no surprise, I've procrastinated writing an update. Since my last post, we've conquered Meldrath (Hello March!) and have moved into Crystallos. We're two mobs away from completing the expansion.

After a bit of keying in April, we put a few beasts in Crystallos out of their misery during May, including all four mini events, and cleared Fire, Earth, and Ice.

Most recently, the Air dragon, Vyskudra, has fallen as well.

We're currently recruiting a few odds and ends to round out our roster... If you are a cleric with over 1000 aa with buckets of playtime, we definitely want to hear from you! Other classes open as well, for more information, click here.
