Bards, Bersekers and Rogues of Norrath! We are seeking 1 highly skilled berserker, bard, and rogue applicants with at least 1000 AA and solid gear. If you are serious about joining a high end guild that raids 6 days a week with a long tradition of excellence, please contact Adetia, Ormus, or Drayron in game or review our Application Forum for more information! We're also seeking a couple other hardcore raiders that are available from 7:30pm EST - ~midnight.

Its Showtime! Yes, Finally, a real update.

So, I'm sure you've all heard by now that we finished Solteris! Ha!
For those that haven't been themselves, the culmination of Solteris is facing the dynamic duo of Solusek Ro and Mayong Mistmoore.
Yes, I confess, this update is slightly overdue since these photos are from last July! Please do pick yourself up off the floor and brush off, particularly if you are a halfling!
 
 
 
After we screened Solusek Ro for his potential participation in the upcoming Township Rebellion marching band as a bad ass majorette, we set about the business of taking these two down for good, posting a serverwide second finish for the expansion and maintaining our dominant status on Luclin. As always, cheers to those who finished first, and we anxiously look forward to the upcoming races in Secrets of Faydwer.
But that's all old news. Almost as old as the instability issues that have come to the forefront with Solteris, the lack of acceptable customer service and issue resolution, the lack of communication about these issues from the majority of the EQ Team -- a few notable standouts include Sklug and Ngreth who tirelessly provide notes worth reading, giving us all something to do during patches and downtimes.
Solteris itself offered 7 events. Early on, the inevitable bugs and problems riddled the zone. Later, sadly, Commodus would be nerfed from his Powerhouse status to sadly underpowered. Meanwhile, the gap between guilds continued to widen, and many guilds across the lands closed their doors forever. I was very proud when we celebrated our 5th birthday, last February, a true test of time that not many have passed at the high end. While only a bit over 40 guilds have completed the TSS content, only 7 have finished the TBS expansion before the release of SoF. One would think this would serve as a bit of a wakeup call that there's alot of folks out there that grow weary of the continued instance problems, continued difficulties, and just plain out tired. Here on Luclin we've seen a few raiding guilds close up shop or get absorbed into others, and we cheer on those that are still chugging along, exploring new content and finding their destiny while marching to their own drum.
It is my hope as we head into SoF that something will eventually be done regarding server instability, and I wonder how many people just laughed when they read:
Issue: Solteris Instability
Summary: Some people have reported that the Solteris raid zone continuously crashes during raids.
Status: Optimizations have been put in place to improve stability. We will continue to monitor the status of this zone and other instanced zones.
There's alot of promising content in SoF and we're eagerly looking forward to it, I just hope that this expansion is not riddled with the same problems Solteris presented.
Now, on to the good stuff!
Ormus Spielburg, that crazy halfer, has been back at it, once again, with a new production to give everyone chomping at the bit for something to do while we patch a little treat.
